Brave Andy King was commended by police for springing into action.
Police have hailed a have-a-go-hero Big Issue seller who helped snare a mugger in Birmingham city centre.
Quick-thinking Andy King, who sells the magazine in the city centre, brought down the fleeing thief with a karate kick as he tried to steal a woman’s phone in Temple Row.
The sharp seller sprang into action after hearing the victim’s cry for help last Friday afternoon.
